The Engineer
Hey! I'm Paul Jalowiecki also known as Vintage Division. I am a platinum certified mixing/mastering engineer and founder of Chrome Mastering in Manchester. In 2015, I graduated with 1st Class Honours in Creative Music Technology (BA Hons) from Salford University in Manchester, which was shortly followed by the launch of Chrome Mastering studio.
My primary focus is Electronic Dance Music, House, Techno, as I deeply believe you achieve the best results working with the music you love and clients you believe in. No size fits all is my motto. To date, I’ve mixed and mastered over 3,000 tracks at Chrome Mastering, including collaborations with Grammy-nominated artist Paul Woolford in 2024. My work has been released on leading underground Electronic Dance Music, House, and Techno record labels like Toolroom, Diynamic, Defected, Intec Digital (Carl Cox), Nervous Records, Funk'N Deep, Madtech (Kerri Chandler), Orange Recordings (Steve Mulder), Stil Vor Talent, Witty Tunes, Midnight Riot, Simma Black (Low Steppa), Lapsus Music, Beatfreak, and Safe Music, as well as major labels like Sony and Universal Music, just to mention a few. |

My mixes have received countless support from radio stations such as BBC (over 15 premieres and plays last year), Rinse FM, Ministry Of Sound, Proton Radio, as well as reviews in Mixmag (Hamza Rahimtula, MYKROBOY). DJs such as Danny Howard (BBC Radio 1), Carl Cox, Mark Knight, Tiesto, Low Steppa, Kerri Chandler, Mark Farina, and Skrillex have showcased my work (read more).
With 10 years of music production experience and a passion for music collecting I’ve honed my skills as a mixing and mastering engineer. As a producer under the names of Vintage Division and Phonokinetics, I've released on record labels such as Nervous Records (Grammy nominated in 2021), Witty Tunes, Nastyfunk, Nupanda, White Widow, Hustler Trax, Lemongrassmusic, and Deepology. Phonokinetics releases have been licensed to over 42 compilations worldwide, and secured 3 publishing deals through White Mantis publishing in Germany.
My other career highlights include a collaboration as audio director with Martin Hollis, the legendary designer of the Nintendo GoldenEye 007 game, and being a mixer for the world's biggest music library Epidemic Sound.
Working with record labels on a daily basis have also taught me what a good music demo should sound like. That's why we offer free advice on where to sign your music, after you have used the service.
If you have any questions or just want to say hello, please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected].
